The official SASSA SRD portal handles all grants actions in one place. Here are the most-used functions and how to access them.

Enter your 13-digit ID number and registered phone number. Your current status — Pending, Approved, or Declined — updates monthly around the 10th–20th.

Log in with your ID and OTP, then select "Update Banking Details." SASSA verifies the new account in 3–7 working days. The account must be in your own name.

If your status shows "Identity Verification Failed", use the identity verification link on the portal. You'll need your SA ID and the phone number linked to your application.

First-time applicants click "Apply" on the portal. You need your SA ID, a South African cell number, and a bank account in your own name. Applications are free.

Go to the "Appeals" section on the portal. Select the specific declined month and submit your reason. You have 90 days from each Declined decision to appeal.
